This delusion - paranormal manifestations - involves the physical manifestations of supernatural experiences that happen to people. The reader will glimpse what is one of the enemy's trump cards in the great controversy between Christ and Satan. Paranormal study encompasses not only religion but also medical and physical science, and psychology. This delusion which is SPIRITUALISM wearing many disguises, is snaring millions in Satan's lethal trap, and will cause their eternal loss as they imbibe of the tree of the knowledge of evil.  Tragically,  these deceived, naive people think they have found the tree of life, not recognizing they are following in the footsteps of Eve in the garden. Satan, the father of lies, is still using the very same method employed with Eve.
 
BEGINNINGS OF MODERN SPIRITUALISM:

         It was in 1849 that a family named Fox while living in Rochester, New York heard some mysterious noises in their home. One night, two sisters were in their bedroom and suddenly they heard a knocking on the wall.  They were puzzled as to what was causing this knocking, for it came as a distinct pattern of knocks, like some intelligence was behind it. Out of curiosity they knocked back, imitating the pattern,  and heard the knockings come back in precisely the same way. This experience became known as "The Rochester Knockings," and was the birth of spiritualism in America. This small beginning was followed by a rapid rise of Séances, spirit mediums, apparitions, clairvoyance, astrology, etc.

         Now again in the last three or four years there has been a dramatic upsurge in media coverage about this delusion, most noticeable is television. Daily and weekly programs are airing the experiences of innocent, unsuspecting people, indicates the enemy has begun to intensify his warfare, and that the battle is beginning to crescendo in preparation for the final showdown.  This phenomena more than any other clearly depicts the titanic battle between the powers of darkness and heavenly agencies.

         The rulers of the darkness of this world are involving more and more people in surprising supernatural experiences, people who are totally unaware of the forces at work behind the scenes. Daily people report being contacted by demons and evil spirits disguising themselves as angels of light and spirit guides, plus a host of other forms and guises which we look at later. We will begin by examining this delusion as seen in the field of health related sciences such as nursing, psychology, and medicine.
 
PARANORMAL HAPPENINGS IN MEDICINE:

        Time magazine for November 12, 1994, described a no-touch therapy involving mystical hand-motion treatment. This therapy is reported to be spreading through nursing schools and hospitals to the consternation of some in the medical field.

NO TOUCH THERAPY:

        "Keeping her hands a few inches away from her seated patient, nurse Janet Quinn moves them around his body from head to toe, as if she were brushing away cobwebs.  At the end of each sweeping motion, her eyes closed, she makes a dismissive gesture, as if shaking water off from her fingertips.

         "Quinn is giving 'therapeutic touch' (TT), a controversial form of therapy that is spreading through the ranks of nursing and already claims tens of thousands of practitioners in the U.S. and many foreign countries. According to its proponents, TT not only comforts and relaxes patients, but also relieves pain,  produces chemical changes in the blood and promotes healing.

         "Or maybe, as its detractors contend, TT is a form of   New Age mumbo jumbo, a no-touch laying on of hands that has no legitimate place in medicine. Leading the attack is Rocky Mountain Skeptics, a group of scientists and other professionals based in Boulder, Colorado, who investigate what they call 'pseudo science.' Its president, computer specialist Bela Scheiber, charges that TT is 'paranormal and religious activity masquerading as science.'

         "Practitioners of TT claim that their hand motions actually smooth kinks or 'congestion' in the 'energy field' that surrounds every human being. And that, they say is what makes the treatment work.  As proof of TT's efficacy,  they cite 'scientific'  reports in such obscure journals as Subtle Energies  and Psycho energetic Systems, as well as stories in popular magazines.'

         "It seems to have gone mainstream and is being taught in nursing schools, practiced in hospitals and described matter-of-factly, without reservation, in Techniques in Clinical Nursing, a widely distributed textbook.

         "In Toronto, where TT is practiced routinely in several hospitals, anyone seeking information about the technique can dial 65-TOUCH to reach the local TT network,  which has 600 members in Ontario.  At Denver's Presbyterian--St. Luke's Hospital, where nurses routinely practice TT, the staff has created a 'Department of Energy.' And at Bristol Hospital in Connecticut, a quarter of the caregivers have completed an in-house, 15 hour course in TT....

         "In the U.S. too, federal medical funding is getting tighter, but not for therapeutic touch. Over the past decade, the MIH has awarded at least $150,000 to study the effects of the practice on burn patients.... Despite the growing skepticism, TT practitioners show no reticence in discussing their work. 'It's not something we do under the table,' says Dolores Kreiger, who invented the technique in the 1970's as a professor at the New York University nursing school and claims to have taught it since then to some 45,000 health professionals.

         'There is validity to therapeutic touch.'  she insists.  'Otherwise we would have been burned as witches long ago.' "Yet the steps for administering TT to a patient seem akin to witchcraft.  As described by nurse Quinn, a leading advocate of the technique, they include 'centering' within one's head assessing which areas of the energy field feel 'out of balance' with the rest of the field, clearing and mobilizing the energy field, and finally, 'directing' energy to facilitate healing.

         "Mystical talk of energy fields spurred the Rocky Mountain Skeptics to organize protests against the University of Colorado Center for Human Caring (C.H.C.), which appears to be a hotbed for the TT movement. There therapeutic touch is thriving despite appeals by the skeptics to the university, the state board of nursing and even the Colorado legislature to justify teaching the bizarre technique."  Outside the medical field, TT has been practiced for many years by faith healers who claim to be helped by angelic beings. TV has aired the experience of a child who was going blind because of congenital bilateral cataracts.  An interview with the child's doctor confirmed that she was indeed healed by a lady using TT.  Now an adult, this woman has no sign of the cataracts which normally always lead to blindness.
 
PARANORMAL HAPPENINGS IN PSYCHOLOGY
PARANORMAL PSYCHOLOGY:

         The field of mind science has been influenced by the enemy, perhaps longer than any other field of science. This is because of the subjective nature of psychology and the human experience. Then too, those responsible for the rise of psychology in the 1800's, notably Freud and his followers, were easy targets for the enemy to use because of their lack of recognition of God's role in people's lives, and their belief in evolution. Primary to the beliefs of Freudian psychologists and medical psychiatrists whose training is almost totally Freudian,  rational thought and human understanding leave no room for divine intervention. The primary human drive according to Freud, centers around early relationships in the home,  and specifically sexual fantasies, called the Oedipus Complex.  Freud determined that the small child (boy) was sexually attracted to his mother. This created guilt and provided, according to Freud, the foundation stones for future emotional and psychological behavior.
 
MENTAL INSTITUTIONS:

         There are a few Christian psychiatrists who have recognized what is going on and who are not afraid to speak out. They have let it be known that they believe that a good percentage of those in psychiatric mental wards are there because of demonic control.  The enemy in order to keep these people under his control, keeps them sedated with powerful drugs "to normalize" their behavior. They are entrapped, unable to escape his control.  The use of drugs and herbs in occult ritual worship or pharmacopoeia  has  been documented since ancient times,  and may  have originated in preflood times.  It may have been a factor in God's need to wash clean the earth with the flood and start all over. God has a much better way of dealing with the mentally ill, but the problem is the sick ones who do not recognize the source of their problem or the solution.  Some are in mental institutions because they gave themselves over to the enemy who then took complete control of their mind.  Others are harassed and oppressed by demonic spirits because of their inheritance and family background. Whatever the cause, this is a very effective satanic device to keep people under His control.
 
HYPNOSIS:

Hypnotherapy:

        Hypnosis has for over one hundred years been developing as a form of therapy, first in the field of psychology, and gradually gaining acceptance in the field of medicine. Law enforcement agencies have also used it in getting people to recall past experiences, like remembering license plates of cars which were used to commit a crime, or recalling a street address or location of the scene of a crime.
 
Regression Therapy:

        Today,  a form of therapy which uses conscience and subconscious hypnosis called "Regression Therapy," takes a person back to some dark forgotten period in his or her childhood in which he/she was molested sexually, physically, or mentally. This therapy has gotten much attention lately and bad press coverage because of people falsely accusing their parents of obscene acts that never occurred.

         This diabolical situation is one in which the person under hypnosis, is under demonic suggestion.  They are shown a series of events which are supposed to have taken place but which are conjured up by an evil spirit working on the mind.  This demonic tactic has resulted in families being devastated and torn apart, with parents being disowned and sued. All because of a diabolical lie, a paranormal experience arrived at through hypnosis.
 
Virtual Reality and Cybernetics

         A relatively new computer oriented experience has been developed which has the potential to hypnotically captivate a participant so completely that he is totally engulfed by what is seen and heard, a sensory experience which separates the participant from reality. This device which can be a useful tool to science and industry is already being used by the enemy to take over the minds of those who venture onto his ground by viewing programs already developed which are totally devoid of any moral or spiritual values.
Virtual Reality: Webster's Dictionary defines virtual reality as "a realistic simulation of an environment, including three-dimensional graphics, by a computer system using interactive software and hardware."
 
Cybernetics:

        Is defined as "the comparative study of organic control and communication systems,  as the brain and its neurons,  and mechanical or electronic systems analogous to them, as robots or computers."  A related term which describes this function more clearly as to what is happening today is "cyberpunk."
 
Cyberpunk:

        Describes "science fiction featuring extensive human interaction with a supercomputer and a punk ambiance."
 
Cyberspace:

        This word is a derivative of two words "cyber (netics)" and "Space."  Webster defines cyberspace as being part of and connected to "virtual reality."
 
Cyber music:

        Is the latest in the evolution of this science which involves yet another field of reaching the senses of mankind to captivate and hypnotize him. In this science, music can be made by just waving the hand in front of an electronic magnetic field.  Sounds such as never heard before and be generated, and scored just by hand movements. This is a very captivating activity in which anyone can become a composer through the use of hand gestures.  Full orchestration can be instantly created for the music.

         These concepts are the latest and most dramatic sensory experiences that have ever been developed.  In the field of science and medicine these systems have great technological and practical application. Through the use of computers, the visual (seeing), auditory (hearing), and tactile (touch) senses and stimulated by computer generated images and sounds which make the person feel like they are actually part of what they are seeing and hearing. The person viewing a scene can actually go into the scene and walk around an object and examine it on any plane or level and interact with the object, even though it is in reality just a picture. The person feels they are traveling within the experience, interacting with what is projected through special glasses and headphones. The person is totally saturated with sensory stimulation.

         This is pure hypnosis, pure and simple, and where the danger lies in this experience. The forces of evil can through this door captivate and enslave the person, demonically possessing them. It is already happening. Pornography, cyber war, and now cyber music are developing rapidly, using this media.

         Virtual Reality is becoming the most dangerous device ever developed for capturing and depraving the mind and thoughts of the viewer.  This is the most powerful tool to hypnotize ever conceived. This science is just coming into it own and is proliferating at an amazing rate, reaching millions of homes through "Internet," which is a network highway allowing people around the world to share information and programs via their computers.

         Already this media is perverted, involving the sharing of sexual and depraved escapades too vile to mention. Already material so reprehensible and terrible is available that if God does not intervene in judgment soon, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah for destroying them.  Some of what is being sent over the network highway is so vile and depraved it defies the imagination.

         Presently confined to computer screens, it will only be a matter of time before those who want to indulge in this kind of activity will have available to them the viewing binoculars, and auditory sounds to project them mentally into the scene, so that they feel like they are actually their where the action is taking place and personally be involved. The porn material already available is staggering as each one wants to share what they feel is their best porn material with any who will pay a nominal fee to download it into their computer.  Steps are already being taken by the government to try and curtail this activity, but any effort will limited.  The sheer magnitude of what is available makes it impossible to control. This kind of intense hypnotic involvement of all the senses is the ultimate weapon of the enemy in his war enslave the viewer, and take him to a depth of depravity unparalleled in human history. This is becoming mind rape on a global scale.
 
Cyberscience -- Evolutionary Cycle Upward?:

        Of all the mind captivating sensual perversions of the enemy of all souls in these last days, none attacks more ferociously the ORIGIN OF MAN AS AN INTELLIGENT, CREATED ENTITY, and robs humankind of the dignity which "in the beginning" was endowed to it, than the evil of the 'Cybersciences'.  "God created men in his image, in the image of God created he him . . ."  (Genesis 1:27).

         In the eyes of its proponents, 'Cybersciences' is yet another advance toward the evolution of man, marching ever upward (downward) to new heights (depths) of mental and physical ability. The theory of evolution is Satan's counterfeit to denigrate God's creation, and destroy the image of God as seen in man, the highest of all God's creative acts, the crowning act of creation.

         'Cybersciences' are looked upon as being yet another stage of man's evolutionary development upward.  In the eyes of the world, this delusion has the potential of helping man develop is mind to new levels of awareness and understanding unprecedented in the history of man.
 
         Through "Virtual Reality" it is now possible to interact with the environment in ways heretofore not possible, even though this environment is totally contrived and artificial, created solely in a computer. Using this medium, it is believed that it will give man the ability to function much better with his environment in real life.

         This will in all probability be seen as an important tool to help usher in the new age of Aquarius, the next millennium, in which the world reach the highest levels of achievement, a golden age in which all mankind will be one, spiritually, physically, socially and intellectually, each living with the other in perfect harmony.

         Cybersciences, more specifically "Virtual Reality," has the potential to deprave mankind to the lowest, vilest, basest, depths possible. Like all scientific tools and advancements in the past, this also has great potential for good and has much practical value, but so is its potential for evil.

         This evil hides behind a glittering, enchanting facade of so-called scientific 'validity', fascination, and technical 'praise'. Even now in its early stages of development, its ability to demoralize and destroy the image of God in man is being exploited by evil minds under the control of Satan.

         Virtual Reality and its hypnotic powers has just been added to Satan's arsenal of weapons against God, another deadly Babylonish delusions of the world at the end of time.  The Cybersciences have the potential to destroy spiritual comprehension, and replace it with fleeting, temporal, sensual indulgences designed to captivate and enslave the mind.

         You can be sure that Satan is going to make the most of this newest and powerful weapon to bring many millions of souls into the depths of hell. Supposing this to be a most exalted and good thing, mankind is already captivated, brought to yet another downward step in the destruction of mankind.

         At Creation, God gave man a mind capable of comprehending divine things. At that time man's understanding, his memory imagination ---- every faculty of man's mind ---- reflected the image, or character of God. At his creation man possessed a right understanding, a true knowledge of his Creator, of himself, his duty, his obligations in respect to the laws of God.

         Cybersciences perverts the understanding, hides the Creator from view, puts man in the Creators place, denies his own existence as a created entity owning due respect and honor to his Creator and obscures his true deity and obligation to God and His laws of life.

         At creation, man's judgment was uncorrupted, unbiased, and disposed to obedience and affection, regulated according to reason and truth.  Through  the Satanic delusion of the Cybersciences man's judgment is denigrated and then ordained with a so-called 'right of rationalization' which can only pervert reason and truth, and propel him as far from God as creation is from evolution.

         The soul's participation in the Cybersciences is in grave danger, even though some of its usages have the potential for great good.  Cybersciences steels away man's own cognitive processes and channels it into a corruption of imagination which only leads to a DEAD conscience and the making of him into a mere automaton, having no reality of sense of being a created entity created as a free moral agent accountable to God for his mental endowments. Through the reverse and perverted creation of evolution's ultimate spin off.

         At creation, man was capable of enjoying to the utmost the good gifts of God.  Everything upon which he looked was transported to his senses; every sound was as music in his ears. The evil of the Cybersciences takes all of this and through the use of the highest of Satanic techniques of mind control, seeks to artificially reproduce the essence of all the life of the senses and the good gifts of God.

         No other "science falsely so-called" has the potential to utterly and completely hypnotize, mesmerize, animalize, and control a human being, and pervert his noble powers as a created being made in the image of his Creator. The inherent evil of the Cybersciences and their hypnotic powers, will play a large part in leading to the Satanic world of unreality and the destruction of man.
 
OCCULT CONNECTIONS

         One spiritual approach used by the enemy has to do with Satanism, witchcraft, and devil worship. Sadly, he has successfully incorporated these practices into some Christian churches as follows: (We only briefly mention them here, for some lie outside the scope of this study. Others are discussed in detail in other parts of this book)
 
SANTERIA:

         Devil worship in the Catholic church is known as Santeria. This has to do with Voodoo ritual and animal sacrifices, prayers for the dead, communication with evil spirits, frenzied dancing and beating of drums to appease the gods. This has to do with "Auruba"  or auroras that surround people, and laying on of hands and healings as described above, and other supernatural happenings.   This movement is growing rapidly because of the miracles associated with it. It is estimated that today in America there are 5,000,000 people practicing Santeria, some in Catholic churches.
 
PELLA:

         Santeria originated from an older form of demon worship called "Pella," which is involved in human sacrifices, digging up of corpses, placing human and animal parts, herbs and other items in a metal caldron and boiling them. It involves casting spells upon people, causing their death.
 
WITCHCRAFT:

         Witchcraft is attracting many more people than most would believe.  Today many responsible people in high places are witches and warlocks who attend covens regularly. They also cast spells and do incantations. They believe in and conjure up UFOs, which we will consider later in this book. They perform sacrifices also, and place great emphasis upon the signs of the zodiac. Their high Sabbaths occur on full moons and their most active time of the year is at Halloween, which is their day. They are directly involved in the spirit world. They do not worship Satan but rather Lucifer, god of all light as they call him. Many newagers are working together with witchcraft to bring about the new world order.

SATANISM:

         The church of Satan is also growing rapidly as people turn directly to Satan and worship him as the true God, while Jesus Christ is called a usurper and the God of darkness. They turn light to dark, dark to light, truth to lies and lies to truth. In return he promises to those who follow him wealth, success, and the good life.  But he does not always deliver.
 
MEDIA COVERAGE OF FALSE PROPHETS

         Another area of paranormal delusions which is proliferating at a very rapid rate is that of foretelling the future. Ordinary people, like housewives and laboring men, as well as those who have been recognized as having the gift of prophecy are receiving much attention.   TV has aired many such accounts of people supposedly receiving messages, dreams and visions about coming future events.  One such program "Ancient "Prophecies I and II" attempted to trace prophecies given from ancient times to the present day.  Conspicuously absent were any Biblical prophecies or interpretations of them. Not one of the accounts or experiences aired passed the test of true prophecy.   On the contrary, everyone of those shown raised red flags, which we will look at later on. The program interviewed Jewish scholars who brought to light things written in the Kabala, an ancient closed secret book, supposedly written by Moses, which it is not. They described many events they feel were fulfilled such as World War I, and a prediction of World War II including a mention of Hitler, and World War III,  which they say will include nuclear war with widespread destruction.  The reader should recognize that Kabala was a Jewish Satanic cult society, which practiced satanic ritual under the guise of religion.
 
POINTS TO PONDER:

         Life after death is the predominant theme, with people supposedly getting their inspiration from the dead, or "the source," (a satanic buzz word).

         Another repeating theme is accounts of great cataclysmic events where the USA is seen splitting in half or being engulfed in water.  Scenes of asteroids wiping out the whole world's population is a repeated theme, as well as tidal waves, nuclear war, shift of the earth's pole, chaos and destruction everywhere, including famine, plagues, etc.

         Interestingly some of these things can certainly be expected, as the true God of heaven has indicated some of these things will come to pass.  The enemy is a copycat.  Probably the most revealing evidence which identifies the source of these revelations is how they are received. Two methods are used the most today. One is by using meditation, the other is looking into an oracle which is an optically clear depth like a crystal ball or a black mirror. Also used by the enemy is hypnosis and trancelike states.
 
MEDITATIVE STATES:

         One lady, an honest but deceived mother of 3 children began having dreams or visions of terrible future events, in which she saw a map of America and so-called "Ascended Masters" all dressed in white standing around a white marble table surrounded by white Grecian columns. They were pointing and talking about the map.  She heard what they were saying, and indicated to her they wanted her to remember and tell what she heard.  They were pointing to areas in America that would be completely covered with water as the land sank. On the east coast and south, this would engulf all land areas up to Pennsylvania.  The west coast was seen to be under water as far inland as Utah.  This is supposed to happen as most of the other accounts around the year 2000.  Other events are supposed to happen in the year 2011 or later.  Several years later she was impressed that she needed to warn people about the danger.  She could not remember the details so went into a meditative state, at which time she again heard the masters talking and was given the details.
 
REVELATIONS FROM ORACLES:

         Revelations by looking into oracles seems to be the fastest growing phenomena by which people are shown scenes of the future, their dead loved ones and sometimes their animals.  This means of revelation is very ancient. The ancient Greeks used to seek revelations of the future or contact their lost dead in a ritual called the "oracles of the dead."

         In this rite, the person seeking information was led down into a subterranean chamber like a dungeon. They were then placed in a room for many days and deprived of sensory stimulation.  They were fed a minimum of food and had no idea when they would be summoned by the high priests officiating over the service.

        When the time came for them to look into the oracle, they were called.  The oracle was a highly polished bronze caldron filled with water. Looking into it was like looking into a clear depth. The person would see dead loved ones who would talk to them through the depths. The Roman's used liver of animals which was shiny, while American Indians looked into a bowl of freshly killed badger's blood.  African's also use mirrors in ceremonies in which young boys who have reached puberty are initiated into manhood by seeing in a mirror a deceased male who gives them a message.  Nostradamus,  famed seer, had a room in his home in which he had a black mirror. He received many, if not all of his prophecies by seeing them in the mirror.

PSYCHOMANTEUM - MODERN DAY ORACLE:

        Dr.  Raymond Moody who has studied the historical records and accounts of the oracle phenomena for many years, decided to build one and see what would happen. He built a structure which is hung with dark drapery inside, with a big black polished mirror. The subject sits on a chair in front of the mirror, and stares into it. There is a dim light in back of the person which barely lights the room.
 
         He was not disappointed by the results.  Many people have come there and none has gone away without seeing something. One man was shown his dog which had died. Others have seen loved ones who speak to them.   Still others have seen prophetic scenes about what is to befall the world, or some loved one.

         Life after death is intertwined into much of what is seen in this black mirror. Some have had out of body experiences, being transported right into the scene in the mirror, floating above the earth and observing terrible death and destruction by the year 2011.

         Fear is the pervading emotion in most of these experiences. Some have seen space stations where the only ones on it were those who escaped the total destruction of the earth that is to soon come.  One reoccurring theme told to the viewer is that people are bringing this destruction upon themselves. Nuclear war is mentioned often. Also mentioned is that people can stop this if they will change their ways.  In other words, man can save himself.
 
HYPNOTISM AND TRANCE STATES:

         Quite a bit of time on the "Ancient Prophecy II" TV program was given to viewing the life of Paul Solomon, who was called the modern day Edgar Cayce and 20th century spiritualist and seer. Paul died in 1994 and the material for this video was gotten from his wife and stepson, both of whom were interviewed and supplied video coverage of his trances. Paul had this gift as a small child, seeing dark and light around people, depending on whether they were bad or good. He became fast friends with a black boy which was not accepted behavior where he lived.

         The boy died which was a terrible shock to Paul.  But the day of the funeral, as he was mourning at a favorite tree where both used to play, his friend supposedly came back in spirit and they had a relationship that went on for years.

         Thus the source of his paranormal experience is positively identified.  He had the gift of healing and healed several people with incurable illnesses.  He had psychic powers and could bring down lightning just by pointing his finger.  He led police to a little girl who had been abducted by tracing the path he was shown while in trance.

         It was during hypnosis that Paul first began to see future events.  Lying on his back on a table, he would suddenly convulse as his back would violently raise off the table as if something had hit him in the back, very much like he was shot in the back.   He too saw mass death and destruction by the year 2011.  Huge areas of the world being swallowed up by water.

         Video clips of his trance sessions, plus the content of his messages, again clearly identify the source of Paul's inspiration.
 
AMERICAN INDIAN DRAWINGS:

         Visions of the future were carved in stone hundreds of years ago.  According to an old Indian interpreter, these carvings trace the rise of America and its future through transportation, beginning with wagons, then the automobile and finally airplanes, and nuclear war. It will all end according to this carving with the planet engulfed in flames.

MARIAN APPARITIONS:

         Throughout the world the apparitions of Mary have been proliferating remarkably.  These apparitions give the same message of death and destruction unless mankind changes the direction it is going and returns to God. A Mrs. Ruiz was approached by the apparition one night with a message for her.  From that time on she has had many contacts from the apparition.  Thousands of people come to be healed, or see or hear what the apparition has to say.  One very dramatic miracle was when a rosary she was holding turned to gold before her eyes. We will discuss this apparition in detail in the next chapter.
 
A GRUESOME PARANORMAL HAPPENING: 

         Although not directly related to any religious delusion, or known connection with the enemy, whether through a satanic cult or otherwise, this is definitely a paranormal happening that bears mentioning, if for no other reason than it shows how far the enemy is allowed to go with a person over whom he has absolute control.

         This most gruesome and bizarre of satanic happenings, of which over 40 cases have been documented, photographed,  and confirmed by police and  fire departments, has to do with human spontaneous combustion.

         Typically a family, friend or neighbor will call in to the police or fire department to report that something terrible has happened to the deceased.  The person was found totally consumed by an intense fire from within their body, with nothing remaining except a few ashes or limbs like an arm or leg. In one case just the two legs were left with shoes and socks on, still placed on the floor just as the person sitting in a chair had placed them.         Photographic evidence and investigation bears witness that the heat is so intense that it burns up the bones, which cannot happen until the temperature reaches 1200 to 1400 degrees F. Yet the surrounding furniture like the chair in which the consumed person was sitting, or the bed they were lying in, did not catch fire or burst into flame. Sometimes the plastic covering of the chair was partially melted where the person was sitting, but 1-3 feet away it was unaffected.  Normally with a fire of this intensity the whole house should have burnt down.   Of course the investigators have absolutely no idea of what happened. This is nothing more than the workings of Satan, who for some reason was allowed to do this to the person.  Obviously the person must have had some occult connection with the enemy, or dabbled in some satanic practice, or perhaps sold themselves to the enemy. No true child of God would ever suffer this fate, for our Father in heaven would not allow such a thing to happen.
 
TELLING TRUE FROM FALSE

         As end time events proceed rapidly, you the reader will be confronted with more and more manifestations and paranormal experiences coming from all sides.  As each situation presents itself, you will have to weigh intelligently which is from above and which is of satanic origin. Satan is truly fulfilling Bible prophecy when it said that he would go about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
 
REVELATIONS FROM GOD?:

         Most, if not all of the people who have paranormal experiences believe that it is God who is doing this. Far and away most of these people are innocent and do not know what is the true source of their experience or power.  Paul Solomon believed that it was God who gave him his gift of prophecy and healing.  Every person interviewed on the "Ancient Prophecy II" video said that God was behind their experience. Yet not one of the prophecies described passed the Bible's test for true prophecy.  They seemed unaware that what they were experiencing was the work of Satan and his angels. It is most important to know how to tell the difference if one does not want to be deceived and ensnared by the enemy. The following guidelines are helpful in determining what is truth and error.
 
THE BIBLE - KEY TO UNDERSTANDING:

         All revelations today must pass the test of Scripture.  The content of any message, dream, vision, or experience, if it is true, must pass this acid test. We are most concerned with those which lurk under the guise of religion and Christianity, professing to be a follower of Jesus, when in fact they are not. AND  PARANORMAL  INFORMATION  CONTRARY TO THE  BIBLE,  does  not  come from heaven, but the pit of hell.   The following points summarize how the true can be identified from the false:
 
1) TALK OF LIFE AFTER DEATH SURE SIGN:

          This theme is found threading its way throughout almost all the paranormal experiences people have. People see themselves as dying and going to heaven, or they talk to deceased loved ones who supposedly have gone to heaven before them.

         This test condemns all the prophetic experiences we have mentioned above, for without exception life after death is a predominant theme in all of them.   Near- death experiences in which a person sees themselves flying around the room, taking part in conversation with dead loved ones or friends is contrary to the Bible.

         The Bible plainly teaches that there is no life after death, no weightless bodies floating above the room on their way to or from heaven, because men do not go to heaven until Jesus takes them [and us] there at his second coming.

"For the living know that they shall die; but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in anything that is done under the sun." (Eccl. 9:5,6) This "Thus saith the Lord" unmasks this deception, leaving no room for question or doubt.
 
2) HEAVENLY DREAMS AND VISIONS NOT WIDESPREAD:

        God has not chosen to work in highly visible ways precisely because that is the way the enemy is working.  To understand this can be a very strong guard against being deceived.  God is not resorting to widespread dramatic methods to get peoples attention, even though heaven sent visions and dreams, and contact from heavenly beings are occurring worldwide.
 
3) COUNTERFEIT COMES FIRST:

        It is important to understand that the enemy's counterfeit always precedes the real,  which means that what we are seeing today is not the true but a great delusion designed to ensnare millions of innocent people.
 
THE PARANORMAL NEW AGE CONNECTION

       The New Age Movement is without question,  the most widespread satanic delusion in the world today. Its evil tendrils reach everywhere, engulfing whole church organizations, yet unbeknownst to them. It's premise that we are God and god's,  and that we never die but are reincarnated into a higher spiritual experience, coming back as someone else, are doctrines straight from the pit of hell itself.

         It counts its followers in the billions around the world, who cut across every segment of society, from today's hippie culture, to the scientific leaders, doctors, and professional people worldwide. Its missionary zeal is as great as any church group on earth, because its inspiration is from Satan himself.

         Its followers include well known names in the entertainment field such as the late John Denver and Shirley MacLaine. The new age movement is the driving force behind the  environmental movement to save "Ghia," mother earth. It is also the force pushing for the age of Aquarius by the year 2,000. New age leaders hoped that their christ will have made an appearance, (which has not happened) bringing all the peoples of the world together into a new world order, where there will be peace and happiness for ever after.

         There is envisioned a one world religion, one world government, and one monetary system.  If this sounds like the New World Order, it is no accident, for the New Age Movement and the New World Order are intertwined and serve the same master, his satanic majesty. This movement is Satan's answer to the religions of the world, and his bid to have all religions bow in homage to him as master and ruler of this world.

         As mentioned this movement has already infiltrated many so-called church groups and is moving subtly to engulf them all.   Techniques used are the same the enemy has used all along - deceit, lies, and twisting of truth.  The movement has a hit list which includes all Christians, Catholics, and Jews, which they say must be done away with, because they upset the harmonic balance of their religion and nature.

         Much more could be said about this movement, but we will limit our remarks in this chapter until a later chapter. Besides we refer to it several times in other places in this book.
 
THE PARANORMAL RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE AND HEALING:
 
         Because this book is a revelation of the work of the enemy, and supernatural and paranormal happenings relating to religious experience, we only briefly mention it, referring the reader to other parts of this book for more information.

         The paranormal religious experience involving churches is most visible within what is called the charismatic churches, where people "get the spirit," are "slain" in the spirit (swoon or fall to the floor in a trancelike state), or appear to be healed miraculously as in faith healings. It often involves speaking in tongues.

         Getting the spirit takes place most often accompanied by rhythmic singing (chanting) of religious songs with a heavy beat, much like rock music. This puts them into a hypnotic state which is nothing more than hypnosis.

         Being slain in the spirit is often accomplished by a minister (spirit medium) with great fanfare and theatrics, who will touch the person on the forehead with the palm of the hand, who then fall over backward and are caught by people to keep them from hurting themselves. Those who are slain, describe ecstatic feelings and sometimes have visions, or receive messages.

         This is not the Spirit of God but another satanic delusion. This delusion is no longer confined to the charismatic churches but is now practiced in mainline churches, especially some Catholic churches and is called "Renewal." This is yet another form of the Spirit of Evil masquerading as the Holy Spirit.
 
SUPERNATURAL HEALINGS:

         Closely akin to this movement is so-called healings.  But healing is not confined to just churches. Much healing is attributed to the work of angels. Mediums or therapists, as they are called, report seeing a white glow or hands moving and guiding the their hands.  In some instances therapists themselves were healed of some life-threatening disease through a paranormal experience.

         Television prime time stories devoted to interviewing people who have been healed and helped by angels are increasing in length and frequency.  Later in this book we will look closely at angels and their work.
 
Both True and False Healings:

        As in every other spiritual area, the difference between the true and false is very small. There are true healings from heaven, but Satan also heal people. He can make the blind to see, the deaf to hear, and the lame to walk, remove tumors, etc., for in many instances, he caused the illness or disability in the first place, which is just another form of his harassment of the human race, and the result of sin. He also can make it appear that a person is healed by masking the pain while the disease (like cancer for instance) continues unabated. Only too late the person finds out that it has spread too far to receive help.

        There is no delusion or deception that ensnares people as surely as when one is healed of a life threatening-illness. But most people do not realize, that the enemy can create diseases and can take them away.  He uses this very artful deception to get people to become part of his kingdom. They think that God has healed them when it is Satan.  They keep going back to fellowship with whatever group or person healed them, and are thus hopelessly ensnared.
 
HOW TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE:

         It is impossible to tell by outward signs the difference between a true or false healing.  The only sure way of knowing whether the healing was from above or below is to know the circumstances of the healing, and if they are according to Scripture.  Because of this inability to differentiate between the good and evil, millions are deceived into thinking that any supernatural manifestation or healing comes from heaven. As with other paranormal experiences, there has been a surge of interest in healings. Almost without exception they all credit the Lord, or angels for being healed.
 
HEALING SATAN'S WAY:

         An experience that happened to a true Christian lady illustrates this matter of healing. She had for years suffered terrible pain in her back. She tried everything she could to alleviate the pain but with no success. She was well acquainted with the concept that the enemy can heal, but wanted nothing to do with this - that is until a close friend told her about a faith healer of a charismatic church who was healing many people of their infirmities.   Because of the pain and in a moment of weakness, she agreed to go with her friend. She was prayed over and the pain was gone. She was much relieved, but then her conscience began to bother her. This led to her asking the Lord through tears to forgive her.  She recognized that if the enemy had healed her she was under his influence and that she would lose eternal life. Yet, still she questioned whether the Lord may not have healed her.

         She made a request of the Lord that if her healing was not from Him that the pain would return. She no sooner uttered that statement when the pain returned.  Since that time, she learned to live with the pain, with the assurance that God was in control of her life and would not call her to bear anything that was not in her best interest.  Although she still had the pain, she went on from one spiritual victory to another.

         With rare exception, true healing today for most people is accomplished by health reform and adherence to the laws of nature, and the 10 commandments.  When Jesus healed, He told them to go and sin no more.  He would use the same admonition today. Obedience is His signature on the Rx.  Disobedience is the enemy's signature.
 
HEALING GOD'S WAY:

          In the April 1995 Guideposts, magazine was a story of a true healing of heavenly origin. This testimony is a perfect illustration of how God works to heal those who are willing to follow His directions. Comparing this healing with faith healings seen on TV and in many churches today, the difference between true and false healing is unmistakable clear.  This story is about Linda Williams of La Center, Washington.  Listen as she tells her story.
 
         It happened at the dentist's office two weeks before I was to be married.  I had gone in to have a wisdom tooth pulled.  "You don't want a toothache on our honeymoon!" David had urged me.  "All done!" the dentist said, bringing the chair upright.  "All done," he repeated when I didn't get up.  I couldn't move.

         I was hurried to a hospital, where doctors attributed the strange paralysis to the anesthetic used by the dentist.

         Very slowly, movement returned. I remained in the hospital for a month, and it was six months before I could return to nursing school. David still wanted to get married right away, but I insisted on waiting.  What if it hadn't been the anesthetic? How could I ask David to take on a sick wife?

         We were young; I was 20, he was 23. We could afford to wait. I completed nurse's training and got a hospital job. The paralysis did not recur. There were a few unrelated things--or so I thought. Days when my vision blurred. Sometimes at the end of my shift my left foot would start to drag.

         "You're just working too hard." David would say. In 1974, three years after our original wedding date, we were married.  The following year Jenifer was born; two years later, Trisha. Was the string of complications--dizziness, kidney infections, ulcers--pregnancy related, as the obstetrician assured me?    Wanting to raise our family in the country, we bought a second-hand mobile home on 15 acres in Washington state. I worked the 3-to-11 shift at Bess Kaiser Hospital in Portland, Ore, 30 miles away, leaving when David got home from his work repairing welding equipment.

         Making my rounds, I began to notice that my whole left side often lagged behind the right.  David and I always got up at 5:00 A.M. to pray together before he left for work; daily now we asked for healing. I started losing weight, so rapidly that the hospital shifted me to part-time work and put me through a battery of tests without arriving at a diagnosis.

         By 1980 I was down from 130 to only 75 pounds, and doctors insisted on putting me in the hospital. Two days after being admitted I woke in the hospital room to discover I could not lift my head, legs, arms, or hands. As in the dentist's chair 10 years earlier, there was no response.  By week's end catheters and feeding tubes were keeping me alive.

         Around me the room darkened. Finally I knew when it was daytime only by asking the nurse.  Then, as the paralysis spread to my throat. I could not even do this. Finally a specialist confirmed that I had multiple sclerosis. As a nurse I was all too familiar with this disease,  which progressively destroys nerves. I was 30 years old and I realized that I might be dying.

         After two months in the hospital, I was to be released to a nursing home.  Blind, mute, paralyzed, I would require total care. David held my unresponding hand as the doctor named several institutions.  "You can look at them,  Mr. Williams, and let me know."  "I don't need to look at them." That was David's voice. "Linda is coming home."

         And over the doctor's protests, home I went. I was sure that at six and four, Jenifer and Trisha would be terrified by the forest of tubes.  But I heard only excitement in their voices: "Mommy's home!"  Mommy? What kind of mother could I be as I waited for death in that little mobile home?

         Attended by nurses the insurance paid for, I lay week after week, unable to move or see or speak, wanting the end to come quickly.  Worse, God, who had always been so close, now seemed a million miles away. I  knew God could heal because I had watched him do it for patients I had prayed for.  But when I prayed about my own healing, there was no answer.

             YOU HAVE HEALTH. USE IT.  I had... what?  Where had such a ludicrous thought come from? Certainly not from me. I was sick. Helpless. Why, the only part of my body I could move at all was a single finger on my right hand!  THEN MOVE THAT FINGER.
 
         There in the dark, I moved that one finger. A mere quiver, but I moved it.  Next day, and the next, and the one after that. I took my mind off all I could not do and focused it on that responsive muscle.  Physically it was a movement of centimeters, but in my understanding, a journey of light-years.

         Instead of bombarding heaven for healing, I was to concentrate on the health I had.   Hearing, for example! I could hear the wind in the firs, the chatter of the girls as they dressed their dolls.  Thought! I could reason. I could pray--thanking God for husband, for children, for himself.  What could a single finger do?  Gesture a greeting when I heard footsteps in the room!

         One day as I "waved" at David this way, a second finger trembled into motion.  A week later I coaxed a few croaking sounds from my throat. Soon afterward I saw one blur of brown and another of yellow beside the bed.  The darker was Jenny's brunette curls, the yellow one, blond Trisha.

         As my sight improved and more muscles responded in my right hand and arm, I discovered an amazing range of activity within inches of me.  Jenny and Trish developed an uncanny ability to make sense of my garbled speech. With the girls translating, I communicated an idea to David. Would he wedge pillows behind me till I was sitting up?  Would he put my sewing machine on the bed table?  And now, would he tuck the foot treadle beneath my right arm?

         So it was that the girls and I began making their spring wardrobes. They cut the fabric and guided it through the machine, but I was the one who used the bit of motion I had to start and stop the needle.

         Doctors cautioned that such temporary reversals were not unusual with MS.  A patient could improve, but sooner or later the disease might reassert itself.  I had stopped focusing on the disease however, simply enjoying each gift of health. Like the time when, strapped in a wheelchair, I was first wheeled out of the bedroom. Like teaching the girls to cook. (They pushed me into the kitchen, and made soups and pies.)

         David built a ramp beside the front steps so that I could be wheeled outside.  When growing season came, he mounted a foam rubber pad on a board with wheels, narrow enough to be pulled between the rows of beans and carrots.

         Lying facedown I dug my fingers into the damp soil.  USE THE HEALTH YOU HAVE, God kept telling me, and how many uses there were for each regained ability!  Much as I had improved, it was obvious that I couldn't go back to nursing in a wheelchair. But there were so many thing I could do. Parenting, for example--teaching, encouraging, loving.

         When we learned that our church supported an orphanage in Guatemala, we asked to be considered as an adoptive family, and in 1984 four-year-old Sarah became ours.

         Caring for a small child used every ounce of the health I had.  And the more health I used, the more seemed to come.  To continue the stretching, as Sarah grew older, I enrolled in foster-care classes offered by the state social agency, and proudly heard our home declared "ideally suited for nurturing children."

        But the MS was advancing again. Breathing was often a struggle, even with oxygen. Time after time I was admitted to the hospital, pronounced terminal, but survived to return home once more. To use the health I had was hard, as the pain in my abdomen became constant.

         A post surgical patient is given 10 milligrams of morphine; by 1990 I was receiving 400 milligrams a day. When even this was not enough, surgeons in August of 1992  proposed severing my spinal cord.  That would mean I'd never walk again--but of course I couldn't anyway. Another option was partial removal of my digestive tract.

         As it was 11 years since I'd taken food by mouth, this too would make no difference.  My reason for refusing both procedures must have seemed ridiculous:  the conviction that God was still saying, YOU HAVE HEALTH. USE IT.

         A few months after the surgeons' radical proposals, our first foster child was placed with us.  With my mounting handicaps I would never have attempted it alone, but our three girls were so eager that we went ahead. Already a veteran of 12 foster homes at age three, Brandon was a silent child who never smiled.  It was a joy to see him soon turning into a lively, laughing little boy who could never get enough hugs.

         One day I was wheeling about the kitchen getting Brandon's lunch when I heard an unfamiliar sound: the growling of my own stomach.  I stopped, peanut butter jar in hand. Was it time to attempt some food by mouth?

        That day I sipped a teaspoon of watermelon juice, the next day a swallow of carrot juice. Slowly I progressed to solid food, reveling in the forgotten sensation of taste. And strength began returning to my legs.

         On day David walked in from work to find me sitting on the couch. He looked from me to the empty wheelchair where he'd placed me that morning. "How...? Who...?  Eating, Walking. Driving a car. Coming off morphine. Addition after addition to my inventory of health.

         As my healing has progressed, more "problem" children have been entrusted to us: Autistic. Retarded. Deaf. The evaluations that accompany each child are accurate, just not important, Unique, lovable, brave-there is so much more to say about these children.  I have discovered you see, that it's not what's wrong with us that counts, but what's right. That's what I told the neurologist recently when he showed me the results of my latest tests. "I don't understand it," he said, "I seen nothing but health here." "I know," I told him, I've seen nothing but health too, for a long, long time."
 
WHEN DOES GOD HEAL?:

         There are countless stories of people like Linda who have been genuinely healed by the Lord, people who glorify Him and witness to God's miracle healing power.  But as we enter this time of the end, God appears to have changed some ways He heals people (this refers to the miraculous instant healings), to meet the enemy's deceptions head-on.

         Healing today is most often done as He did with Linda - helping those who will follow His instructions and work at helping themselves.  The Lord has outlined through chosen servants what we can expect to see in these last days.  Here are several points that summarize the difference between true and false healings:
 
         1)  God is not healing people in mass meetings as seen on TV and in the charismatic churches. It can be truthfully said that these faith healers are servants of Satan, sent to deceive those looking for help.

         True healings from the Lord happen in the quietness of a home setting with earnest, fervent prayer for healing (like Linda). If the person's lifestyle has contributed to the illness, they are asked to change it. The emphasis is on good nutrition, rest, and exercise. In other words the Lord helps those who comply with the natural laws of health.

         Sometimes hydrotherapy is used, and natural herbs.  The use of herbs is not unlike the way the enemy works, so that herb treatment in and of itself is not a criteria.  True healing most often now comes not suddenly, but slowly as the body begins to rebuild and regenerate itself. This seems to be the way God has chosen to work to counter the deceptions of the enemy.
 
         2)  Those who are laying on hands or using touch therapy are not from the Lord either.  Buzz words such as "aura," "centering," "lines of force," "out of balance," "balancing the energy," are dead giveaways, for our Heavenly Father uses no such gimmicks.

         There is a true laying on of hands, but this is done privately and by church elders in the confines of the home. It is accompanied, as the Bible says, with anointing of olive oil and prayer. Some few are healed this way, but it must be recognized that we are living in the very last days of this earth's history. Many of the old and very young, the sick and lame will be laid to rest, for they will not be able to survive the time of trouble that is to come.

         At a certain point in time this will, however, change, as Jesus pointed out that in the near future, the dead will be raised and the sick healed. These miracles will come at the close of probationary time when the record books of heaven are closed.

         At that time there will no longer be a need to protect God's people from deception, for they are His and cannot be deceived. Therefore those whom God chooses to go through the end times will be raised from their graves, and those who are suffering from illness will be miraculously healed, just as Jesus healed people in Bible times.
 
         3) One last but most important point to consider, is how we relate to our own physical disabilities. Those who have a love relationship with heaven should not be looking for health, prosperity, and a long life on this earth, as discussed in the last chapter. Their goal is heaven. They recognize that the physical body counts as nothing. The heart and soul is what God is interested in. The Christian looks forward to being translated and being given an immortal body.

         If they are suffering a physical malady here now, it makes no difference, for there is no future in this world anymore.  Only what God has prepared for them means anything  The only answer to any problem today lies in our looking only to glorious Jesus and being part of His family.

         If you keep these simple points in mind, you will not, cannot be deceived and deluded by any of these enemy devices.

         One other area of the paranormal experience is in the gift of prophecy, both false and real. We will show the difference between the true and the false. What the Lord has both shown and said about what is soon to come,  differs greatly from enemy inspired prophecy. As in these other supernatural happenings, if you know what to look for, the difference between the true and false is easy to see when compared with Scripture and heavenly experience.

         In the next chapter, "The Queen of Delusions," we turn our attention to one of two great enemy masterpieces, with which he hopes to deceive the whole world.
